Dear Fema: Letters of Complaint to FEMA, Insurance Companies, Public Officials

Lets make these shysters pay up

Posted on 12/06/05

A huge thanks (sarcasm) to All-State insurance adjusters. I am doing
work on a rental property my family owns because they gave us $3000 for a job that is going to cost $30,000. I mean it was ALMOST enough to pay for a new roof. We have declined to accept the claim and are filing for a re-evaluation of the property. Based on what I’m seeing in the house the adjuster was clearly flawed in issuing a claim amount for the damage
done. All the sheetrock needs to be torn out and mold is growing in the
frame work through out. I was displaced to Baton Rouge myself and have
to drive down every week for just a few days to work on the house and
have done almost all of the tear out. If we wait for the insurance
company who knows how long it will take. I’m not complaining about the
work or the trip, but things would be a lot faster if we could pay someone
to fix up the house. All we want is a fair claim amount. We have a
great relationship with the tenant and want to get him and his family back in as soon as possible. A close family friend is having worse
luck. Her company told her they can’t help because the flood damage to
her home in Lake View was caused by a hurricane and not flooding.
???what the f**k??? They can’t be serious: they can’t get away with
that can they? If anyone is facing similar run-arounds speak out, we
cannot allow this s**t to happen. We have paid our premiums now lets make these shysters pay up. Thanks for listening DearFEMA. Lets start to turn the tides!!
